About Lee Heffernan
For over 25 years, Lee worked as one of the top marketing executives in the media industry with expertise in all core disciplines: consumer, national ad sales, distribution and PR. Heffernan’s media career has spanned many of the industry’s top brands including Lifetime, TBS, TNT, CNN, Cartoon Network, WE: Women’s Entertainment and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. During this time, Heffernan managed the launch of several networks including Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime Real Women, CNN Airport Network and Cartoon Network. She has also worked on several digital brands including Screenvision’s Screenfanz and app, lime.com, Martha Stewart’s Pet Channel and iVillage.
In 2003, Heffernan started her own marketing agency specializing in brand strategy. Clients have included or include Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Oxygen, Turner Broadcasting, WWE, FoxSports, iVillage, CNN, EverydayHealth.com and Steve Case’s Lime Media and Hank’s Beverage Company.
Since 2013, Heffernan Marketing has been located in Greensboro, GA and is focusing on local and regional accounts. Areas of expertise including advertising, graphic design, copywriting, press relations, business development strategies, event management, social media marketing/management, media planning and website development. Heffernan has an in-depth knowledge of local marketing for the Lake Oconee area.
Heffernan has a reputation for pioneering innovative marketing ideas for companies with a focus on creative problem solving. These promotion and marketing concepts produced proven results. She has executed over 200 promotions and consumer campaigns, directed 40 upfront events and managed budgets in excess of $40 million across all media platforms. She is highly regarded in the industry as an executive that can deliver on ratings, distribution and revenue goals using creative marketing platforms. Throughout her career, her promotion and branding concepts have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Multichannel News, Ad Age, Adweek, The Delaney Report and the EPM Newsletter. Heffernan graduated from Salem College with a BA in Arts Management and Art History and also attended the Portfolio Center for Graphic Design in 1995. She is also a published co-author of the book, Gentlemen Only, which depicts her experiences as the daughter of a long-time member of the Augusta National Golf Club.
